Lunch and Learn Seminars
Fall 2008

**New Topic**

Rock Physics & Seismic Application in Heavy Oil Reservoir Characterization

Presented by Yong Xu

Tuesday, September 30 or Thursday, October 2

11:55 to 1 pm (lunch provided)

Suite 2600, 111 - 5th Ave SW

East Petro-Canada Tower

Limited seating, click here to RSVP

This is the fourth in a series of lunch & learn seminars. See the sidebar for information on the other topics.

Reservoir heterogeneity impacts heavy oil production in the WCSB. We have been exploiting the application of seismic in mapping heavy oil reservoir heterogeneity. This presentation summarizes the exploitation with focuses on the following:

  • Rock physical and petrophysical properties of heavy oil reservoir and implication in heavy oil characterization and production monitoring
  • Using AVO and prestack data in heavy oil reservoir characterization
  • Using geometrical and spectral attributes

To learn more, attend the lunch & learn session on September 30 or October 2. Click here to RSVP.

This course is available as a free in-house seminar. For more information contact Pam Rempel, 403-781-1437 or email prempel@arcis.com.
